This name originates from Japan. It is part of the Japan Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A round-topped mountain (2416 m) which composes northwestern part of Mont Gaston de Gerlache. Surveyed by JARE in 1960, and named Kame-no-se (back of tortoise) because of its shape.
