A narrow strait between Nesøya and Higasi-Ongul Tô in the Ongul Syotô (Flatvær). Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37. JARE named Kita-no-seto (northern strait) because of its location in the island group.
