Names that other countries have for this feature:
The acute and northwesternmost point of a bare, precipitous promontory forming the eastern boundary of Pressure Bay in northern Victoria Land.
Charted in 1911 by the Northern Party, led by Campbell, of the British Antarctic Expedition (Terra Nova expedition, BrAE), 1910-13. The feature appears to be named for the birth of a Weddell Seal on 12 October while the party was encamped at the feature. This was considered to signify the beginning of the summer. The feature was named Cape Woodbar in text.
