A peak in the Queen Elizabeth Range of approximately 3400m high, which presents a rocky face of about 1200m to the north-east. Visited by the Southern Survey Party of the NZTAE, 1956-58, early in 1958. Named by them after Squadron-Leader JR Claydon, who, as the officier commanding the Antarctic Flight of the RNZAF gave considerable material assistance to the survey team operating in this area.
