A ridge-type mountain of irregular shape, with peaks having elevations of 1500 to 1600m, lying about 6 miles east of Mt Daniel in the foothills of the Prince Olav Mountains. Discovered and photographed by the US Ross Ice Shelf Traverse Party, under A P Crary in 1957-58, and named for Lt Cdr Roy E Curtis, USN R4D pilot of USN Squadron VX-6 during Deep Freeze Operations.
