An ice escarpment on the coast west of Cape North. Named by ANARE after the late L J Dwyer, former Director of the Australian Commonwealth Bureau of Meteorology and a member of the ANARE Executive Planning Committee. The name was proposed by ANARE Expedition 1962, which explored this area.
