A small glacier 15 miles long and 2 miles wide lying on the east side of the main mountain range 25 miles west of Cape Wilson, and on the north side of the Nimrod Glacier. This glacier offered a route for the Southern Party of the NZGSAE, 1960-61, when they journeyed north from the Nimrod Glacier in December 1960. Named by this expedition to describe the zigzag route which the party used in travelling to search for a route to the north.
