An irregular mound-shaped mass about 1100m high, in the foothills of the Prince Olav Mountains, on the west side of the Liv Glacier stream about 4 miles north of its terminus. Discovered and photographed by the Byrd AE, 1928-30, in November 1929, and named for Homer L Ferguson, President of the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company of Newport News, Virginia, which made repairs and alterations on Byrd Antarctic ships.
