A prominent peak on the west side of the lower reaches of Shackleton Glacier, standing at the east end of the Bush Mountains, in the Queen Maud Range. Discovered by the Byrd AE, 1928-30, on Byrd's flights to the Queen Maud Range in November 1929. Named by Byrd for John H Finely, President of the American Geographical Society at that time.
