A small island at the southwest end of Bellafront Bright, just off the northern slopes of Mount Discovery, on the eastern side of the Koettlitz Glacier, and approximately 10.5km west-southwest of Swyer Point, Brown Peninsula.
Named by the United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in 1963 for Commander James Hahn, U.S. Navy (USN), public information officer on the staff of the Commander, U.S. Naval Support Force, Antarctica, for several years preceding 1963.
