This name originates from New Zealand. It is part of the New Zealand Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
At the entrance to Devils Glacier in the Queen Maud Range. The glacier at this point had formed a remarkable long ridge about 6m high, with a fissure about 1.8m wide as a gateway. Named by Amunsden in November 1911 on his way to the South Pole.
