Narrative

The central of three mountains lying by themselves about 45 miles inland from the Ross Ice Shelf in the Queen Alexandra Range and about 27 miles south-south-east of Mt Markham. Discovered and named by the BAE, 1907-09. Lieutenant Georges Lecointe was second in command of the Belgica expedition, 1897-99, under de Gerlache.
