Narrative

A small lake at the south-east corner of Redcliff Nunatak on the southern flank of Mackay Glacier. The ice has piled up to form a barrier, and this tiny lake has formed by thaw-waters to the lee of the barrier. Given this descriptive name by the Western Journey Party, led by Taylor, of the BAE, 1910-13.
