A low bluff along the western edge of the Ross Ice Shelf, between Mulock and Barne Inlets. Discovered in November 1903 by the Western Journey Party, led by Barne, of the NAE, 1901-04. Named by Scott for George R M Murray, FRS, temporary director of the scientific staff of the expedition, who had accompanied the Discovery as far as Capetown.
