Conspicuous ice-free peak, 1400m at the south side of the mouth of Baldwin Valley. Named by the US ACAN for Chief Electronic Technician James D Pond, USN, who was in charge of repair and maintenance of all electronic equipment at McMurdo Station, 1962-63.
