Narrative

A coastal range, extending some 200 miles northward of McMurdo Sound along the coast of Victoria Land. Mt Davidson, 2477m high, is the highest peak. Peaks include Mts Gran, Thomson, Woolnough, Morrison, Brogger, Forde, Marston, Davidson, Creak, Chetwynd and Gauss. Discovered by Ross on 17 February 1841, and named by him for Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria.
