A prominent geological feature which distinguishes a bluff, 450m high, on the east side of the Skelton Glacier east of Ant Hill. Discovered and given this descriptive name in February 1957 by the New Zealand Party of the TAE, 1956-58. The dyke consists of igneous rock against a black background of the intruded sediments.
