Discovered by the USASE, 1939-41, on Flight C of 29 February - 1 March 1940 and named by the US Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Cdr Charles O Reinhardt, USN, engineer for US Navy Operation Highjump, 1946-47, for Little America IV.
