A small glacier entering the east side of the lower Skelton Glacier between Moraine Bluff and Red Dyke Bluff. The name was applied by mistake to the wrong feature in 1957. A descriptive name applied by the NZTAE, 1956-58, to this feaure, referring to an incident in January 1957 when an aircraft attempted to land on the exceedingly broken ice at the foot of the glacier.
