A prominent peak, 1658m high, rising steeply on the east side of the Skelton Glacier, west of Mt Cocks. Surveyed and named in February 1957 by the New Zealand Party of the TAE, 1956-58. Named because it resembles a tricouni, a saw-toothed nail used on the soles of alpine boots.
