A peak, 1731m high on the polar plateau at the head of the David Glacier, north of Mt Kring. This peak (and Mt Kring) was used as a reference for establishing a USARP field party. Named by D B McC Rainey of the Cartographic Branch of the NZ Dept of Lands and Survey for the foster parents of S/Sgt Kring, navigator of VX-6 Squadron.
