This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A small lake in a depression just west of Collerson Lake on Broad Peninsula, Vestfold Hills. The lake was investigated by biologists at Davis in 1974.
So named because of the shape in plan, which resembles that of a fish scale.
