Narrative

Cove immediately SE of Fort William, the W tip of Robert Island, in the South Shetland Islands. The name, derived from the reported existence of copper ore in the cove, was applied by sealers in about 1821 to a much larger cove farther SE along the W side of Robert Island, but in recent years the name has become established for the cove described.
