Ice-covered peninsula about 20 mi long, between Murphy and Koether Inlets on the N side of Thurston Island. Delineated from aerial photographs made by USN Operation HighJump in December 1946 and by USN Squadron VX-6 in January 1960. Named by US-ACAN for Lt. Donald L. Edwards, navigator of USS Burton Island on the USN Bellingshausen Sea Expedition to this area in February 1960.
