Island just N of the entrance to Horseshoe Harbor in Holme Bay, Mac. Robertson Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37. Rephotographed by USN Operation HighJump, 1946-47, and ANARE in 1956. So named by ANARE because of its position at the entrance to the harbor at Mawson Station.
