A notable twin-peaked nunatak (c. 750 m) and several smaller rock outcrops, located between the N end of LeMay Range and Lully Foothills in Alexander Island. The feature was photographed from the air by RARE, 1947-48, and mapped from these photographs by D. Searle of FIDS, 1960. Named in 1977 by the UK-APC for Anthony E. Gannon, BAS meteorological observer, Halley Station, 1970-72, general assistant, Grytviken, 1972, and builder, Stonington Island, 1973-75, who participated in a plane-table survey of N Alexander Island, 1973.
