Mapped by Directorate of Overseas Surveys from satellite imagery supplied by U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration in cooperation with U.S. Geological Survey. Named by UK-APC from association with Jupiter Glacier after Ganymede, one of the satellites of Jupiter.
