Narrative

Narrow channel extending in an E-W direction between the Mariner Islands and Booth Peninsula in the central portion of the Highjump Archipelago. Mapped from air photos taken by USN Operation HighJump, 1946-47, and named by the US-ACAN for G.C. Gossard, Jr., air crewman on USN Operation HighJump photographic flights in this area and other coastal areas between 14° and 164° east longitude.
