A peak (2644 m) at the head of McDermott Glacier in Royal Society Range, Victoria Land. Named by US-ACAN (1994) after John W. Harvey, National Solar Observatory, who, with Thomas L. Duvall, Jr. and Martin Pomerantz, conducted research in helioseismology at the South Pole from 1980.
