A meltwater stream in the Victoria Valley, Victoria Land, that flows W from Victoria Lower Glacier into Lake Vida. Named by US-ACAN after James Steven Kite, University of Maine, geological field assistant with the Victoria Valley party, 1977-78. Kite was conducting research in the glacial geology of Victoria Valley, when, not as a part of his research, he found a 43-pound meteorite iron in a moraine 0.3 mi inland from Victoria Lower Glacier.
