Mapped by USGS from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-65. Named by US-ACAN for helicopter pilot Lt. Cdr. Conrad S. Larson, USN, officer in charge of the helicopter detachment aboard the icebreaker Eastwind during Operation Deep Freeze, 1955-56.
