Bay 2.5 mi wide which indents the W side of Horseshoe Island, in the NE part of Marguerite Bay. First surveyed in 1936-37 by the BGLE under Rymill. The bay was visited by the USMS North Star and USS Bear of the USAS in 1940. The name was proposed by the US-ACAN for Capt. Isak Lystad of the North Star.
