Point which forms the NW extremity of Coronation Island in the South Orkney Islands. Discovered on Dec. 7, 1821 by Capt. George Powell, British sealer in the sloop Dove, and Capt. Nathaniel Palmer, American sealer in the sloop James Monroe. Named by Powell because of the number of penguins which were on this point.
