Rounded, ice-covered hill (80 m) located 0.3 mi NE of Iquique Cove, Greenwich Island, South Shetland Islands. The recommended name derives from "Promontorio Poisson" and "Cerro Poisson," forms appearing on Chilean hydrographic charts of the 1950s. Maurice Poisson signed the official act of inauguration of nearby Arturo Prat Station on Greenwich Island in 1947.
