Narrative

A sharp coastal peak that rises to 1097 m on the S side of New Harbor, McMurdo Sound, Victoria Land. It is the E-most summit in the range of hills flanking the S side of Ferrar Glacier. Named after James R. Stewart, Diving Safety Officer of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, who has been Principal Advisor on Research Diving for the NSF's Office of Antarctic Programs, 1967 to the present (1999).
