Sutherland, Jr., Ocean Projects Manager, OPP, NSF, with responsibility for directing operations and logistics for USAP research vessels from 1989; responsible for acquisition of the Research Vessel/Ice Breakers Nathaniel B. Palmer and Laurence M. Gould.
