This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The western ridge of Tangra Mountains, Livingston Island; extending 15.5 km northeastward from Botev Point to Shipka Saddle, 5 km wide. Rising to 1,684 m (Mount Friesland, summit of the island). British mapping in 1968, partial Spanish mapping in 1991 and Bulgarian survey in 1995-96. Takes its name from Mount Friesland.
