This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Peak rising to 1,505 m in Friesland Ridge, Tangra Mountains, Livingston Island; 4 km SSW of Mount Friesland, 1.4 km S of Simeon Peak and 4.15 km NW of Samuel Point. Bulgarian survey in 1995-96. Named after St. Cyril (827-869 AD) who, together with St. Methodius, created the Glagolitic alphabet and translated the Holy Books into Bulgarian language.
