A rock bluff rising to c.600 m on the southeast margin of Turks Head Ridge, Ross Island. The bluff is 2km east-northeast of the more prominent and rocky Grazyna Bluff. Feature shown on: NZ AntTopo50-MF13
At the instance of P R. Kyle, named by -US-ACAN (2000) after Richard Esser, a member of New Mexico Tech field parties on Mount Erebus in the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. Later a technician in the New Mexico Geochronology Lab at NM Tech where he has dated many rocks from Antarctica.
