An Australian runway some 70 kilometres from Casey station on the Peterson Glacier.
Winning name recommended by Dr Andie Smithies, Convenor, Advisory Committee on Names Competition in September 2004.This was a public competition for the naming of a new runway in August 2004. The reason given by Joe Weiley (12 years), of Broken Head NSW, student at St Finbars School in Byron Bay and the winner of the competition was: "It would have to be named after Sir Hubert Wilkins, the amazing Australian adventurer and pioneer of Antarctic aviation!"
