This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The island extending 700 m in S-N direction off the N coast of Greenwich Island. Situated 700 m E of Pavlikeni Point, 1 km N of Crutch Peaks, and 2.2 km WSW of Ongley Island. British mapping in 1968. Named after the ancient Thracian town of Kabile near the present Bulgarian city of Yambol.
