This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-free point on the N coast of Snow Island in the South Shetland Islands situated 2.3 km W of the extreme NE point of President Head, 2.5 km ESE of Gostun Point, and 4.8 km ESE of Cape Timblón. British mapping in 1968. Named after Karposh, leader of a Bulgarian uprising in 1689 AD.
