Denominada así por el personal científico del Instituto Antártico Chileno durante la Expedición Antártica Chilena de 1990-1991, debido a que en este lugar mora una gran cantidad de lobos finos. Playa que se ubica en el lado SE de la bahía Mansa, entre la punta Cachorros, por el W, y la punta Lobos, por el E, costa oriental del cabo Shirreff de la isla Livingston, islas Shetland del Sur.
