A mountain, about 20 km north-east of Mount Gorton in Oates Land. The region was photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). The position of the mountain was fixed on 21 February, 1962, by S.L. Kirkby, surveyor with the ANARE Expedition on the MV Thala Dan led by Phillip Law. Named after R.L.J. Ellery, RFS, a member of the Australian Antarctic Exploration Committee of 1886.
