Höhe: ca. 50 m. The island is ca 1 square km in area and ice-covered by 95%. It belongs to the group of Melchior Islands, Palmer Archipelago, on the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula. On older maps (Arg. 1957/UK Hydr. Office 1986/BAS 1974) it is represented as a part of Omega Island. The existence of a channel between the two islands was detected on 2/2/2003, during a cruise of the MS "Bremen", by a zodiac excursion.
