small, low lying island in the entrance to Port Lockroy, about 550m W of Goudier Island, Wiencke Island, Palmer Archipelago. Roughly charted by Charcot, 1904, used as a fixed mooring by whaling ships, 1911-1931, surveyed and so named by Operation Tabarin, 1944. The name has, in the past, been transposed with that of Woogie Island (q.v.).
