N of Ferrer Point, Discovery Bay, Greenwich Island, South Shetland Islands, called Maldifassi, Banco by CAE, 1947, after Subtte Oreste Maldifassi T., a torpedo officer with the expedition(Chile. DNH chart 500, 1951). Banco Subteniente Maldifassi (Chile. DNH chart 1405, 1961). Bajo Maldifassi (Chile. DNH, 1962, p.99; IHA, 1974, P.192). Bajo Subteniente Maldifassi, as rejected form (Chile. IHA, 1974, p.192) (APC, 2004).
