An ice-covered peak rising to 2500 m 1.1 mi (1.8km) S of Shapeless Mountain in Victoria Land. There is exposed rock on the S side of this wedge-shaped elevation. Named by US-ACAN (2004) after Mark ("Commander") Melcon, a McMurdo Station carpenter who worked 23 field seasons in Antarctica.
