A rugged Y-shaped massif which rises to 1860 m on the S side of Byrd Glacier. It stands between Brecher Glacier and Twombley Glacier, two southern tributaries to Byrd Glacier. Named by US-ACAN after Capt. (later R.Adm.) Stevan Mandarich (1911-2001), USN, Chief of Staff to R.Adm. R.E. Byrd on Operation Deep Freeze 1, 1955-56.
