This name originates from United States of America. It is part of the United States Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A bold coastal point in ice-filled Morgan Inlet at the E end of Thurston Island. The point forms the E extremity of the wedge-shaped promontory between Lofgren Peninsula and Tierney Peninsula. Named by US-ACAN after A.E. Ryan, Chief Photographer's Mate in the Eastern Group of USN Operation Highjump, which obtained aerial photographs of Thurston Island and adjacent coastal areas, 1946-47.
